External tooth washers like these, WILL hang up often. Specially if you throw them in with a bunch of other type parts.
Anything with a protrusion smaller than the holes in the tub WILL eventually find their way into the hole! And they usually don't fall out again.
Keep that in mind when you drill tub holes.
