Two things remain to be done, neither of which is needed for full sound fidelity, only for esthetics.
1) a grille. I'm still pondering how to cover the driver. I don't want another run of the mill flat wood piece covered with cloth. I'm waiting for an inspiration of a sculpted look.
2) a top piece. My initial design just used more walnut for the top, but then part way into construction, I changed that. The top was left flat for the addition of a stonework slab. I want a nice piece of marble to match the pedestal (15x15x1.5, with radiused edges and corners). I haven't yet found stone that I like from a reasonable vendor, and since I'm already over budget, it will just have to wait.
